"If I hadn't spent so much time studying Earthlings," said the Tralfamadorian, "I wouldn't have any idea what was meant by free will. Back in Los Angeles

Okay, Los Angeles is not as bad as I always claim it is. Really. I know I give it a hard time constantly -- that those years of commuting traffic are constantly embedded in my brain. But it is nice to be amongst the palm trees, next to the sea, and driving up and down all those weird streets lined with people, cars, houses, restaurants, and of course, celebrities. The Dodgers took two out of three from the Twins this weekend, but I guess I can find a way to forgive LA this time around. It's really nice to see all my friends -- good people are always worth the bad traffic. Case solved.

Actually L.A. is pretty unbearable on the whole but it does have its unique charms...I spent a week on the East Coast and nearly cried when I came back and saw palm trees again.

Perhaps Biggie Smalls put it best:
"Going back to Cali...strictly for the weather, the women, and the weed...sticky green." I concurr with Mr. Smalls on all three counts.

How is it that I've lived in L.A. for nearly 8 years and never seen a celebrity "on the street" while you claim this is a common occurence?

Hope to see you and Eli before you return.
